I *heart* flag pennant banners. So I thought I would try to be crafty for the b-day party coming up & make one or two. Honestly, I am tickled with how they turned out. It really was pretty easy.
Depending on the size of banner & length you need, really your fabric amount is up to you. Just so you know…I needed two -25 foot banners! So I got 1/2 yard each of the colors shown.
After you determine how much fabric you will need. It really is quite simple.
2 types of scissors. Regular & pinking shears
ruler
couple of sheets of copy paper
pins
pencil
clothes line *didn’t realize this would be so hard to find. Finally, at our local hardware store*
glue gun & * lots of glue sticks*
using the entire length of copy paper – draw a triangle with your ruler. cut out the pattern triangle.
~because I needed so many pennants, the 1/2 yard of fabric I purchased allowed me to get 3 triangles width wise across, for a total of 12 pennant flags per 1/2 yard.
For demonstration I hung this in our breakfast room. I know it looks rather silly there, but just for a practice test run… ya know, before the BIG DAY!
Obviously, I am not an expert. Martha’s blog has much more detailed instructions, if you need to research further. The No Sew idea, was really what I was wanting. For time & sanity sake.
