*Roasted Marshmallows*
We ate some really good food. 🙂 Sipped on hot Apple Cider. Visited with many while the kids ran & played with each other. Fall is the perfect season for outdoor living, in my opinion. You can layer clothing if needed, sit by a fire, or better yet eat to keep warm. This was our first block bash. So we asked everyone in the invitation/flyer to “Call us if they would like to lend a hand.” We asked all to bring basically sweets. Shannon & I made the chili & cornbread. Now that we know most would be “on board” to bring more next time, who knows what kind of feast we might end up having!!!
This is my friend & neighbor, Shannon. Isn’t she beautiful!!! She was with me every step of the way to plan, create, cook, loan, decorate, cheer, & listen. We had never worked on anything together prior to this. I must say, it was a pleasure to organize this fun bash with her. She is one of the most “easy & happy going” people I know. We are so blessed to have them as our neighbors!
One of our visiting ghosts for the Boo Bash. (Graham & I made him.)
The toasty firepit that kept us somewhat warm on this 43* degree evening. Brrrrr. The coldest night of the season, so far.
I hate it when a party is over. I could have sat here for a while longer. (as long as the fire was going & someone would of put the kids to bed.) It was great fun to visit with all, meet neighbors we hadn’t before, & catch up with ones we know. It was the perfect way to welcome Fall. Honestly, I could do it all over again. I love to throw a party. A discussion for the next one is already in the works…so until then…
