As I mentioned in the previous post or you may have seen her button on the right side bar, I signed up for a staircase party. This is my first time to sign up for something like this. Using what they call Mr. Linky. Mrs. A to Z is hosting the party & several others have linked to their own staircase revamp or decor. I must say, I did nothing extravagant in comparison to some of the others. In fact, several of you have seen this picture before. But since the season & I had decorated my staircase…I thought why not.??. To see how I made the pumpkins go here.
Besides, the fact of peeking or might as well say “stare” at other staircases & get some inspiration (btw, don’t be bashful..look at all the links, that’s what they are there for) I am a true fan of Mrs. A to Z. I do not know how she comes up with all her crafty ideas. Some are just to re-style her home, her other ideas are just so smart for hardly any money. Not to mention she is so funny in her posts. You’ve gotta love a person who can laugh at herself. She is a talented, funny, savvy, & a beautiful person inside & out!
The only downer about this partaay, is that no one is around to party with. I wish all of us gals could truly have a party. Wouldn’t it be the best time – too! Right before the holidays arrive. Darn it all! Maybe one day, I’ll be lucky enough to meet some of these talented people I write to almost daily, visit their house, office, or their personal land of inspiration. I am honored to call them all my blogging buddies.
***update***I got to thinking, I should of also said…when we moved into this 95+ year old house, the stairs were all wooden stained. I knew, if we bought the house the first thing I wanted to do was to paint the risers white. To add light & definition in the stair hallway. That was the first project we or should I say our painter tackled when we moved in. (Shortly, after the move-in we discovered I was expecting our first blessing!) So our painter – painted & painted & painted. I sure wish I had some before & after pics. But I don’t. Dummy me. Didn’t know 4 years ago, how I would become a blogger & love doing all this stuff. But I do love the simplicity of the white risers against the thick wooden stained toppers.***
THANK YOU!
