We are blessed beyond measure. What gifts we have already received. Every Christmas I think we all reflect on what the year has brought to us. What we were doing last year vs. this year. Last Christmas, I was breastfeeding the twins every 2-3 hours. My life was spent on our couch holding 2 babies & trying to entertain, read, or play with our then 2 year old. Life was extremely structured to the minute, so it seemed. This Christmas, there is so much more freedom in our nest. And if you know anything about me, then you know I enjoy being free. Free to do anything or nothing at all. I will admit, even though, I already miss last year & at times wish I could go back, I love our less structured lifestyle this Christmas. It’s a whole new world of wonderment with a 3 year old & being free to celebrate, decorate, play, & also explain what Christmas is all about & the birth of our Lord & Savior to Graham. So this year, the “light” in his eyes is our joy to witness & experience first hand.
Last year, I spent the year & many a holidays in your blogs. When you have 3 – 3 & under, and you are exclusively breastfeeding 2 of the 3. You tend to want to have an outside connection. Never in a million years, would I have known how much blogs would become a source of outlet & a hobby for me. Never. I am so thankful for the many friendships I have made through blog land. It really is amazing. Which leads me to our wonderful photographer, blogger, and my friend Rhonda Thompson. Whom I developed a friendship with over the past year. We exchanged blog comments, became facebook friends, found out we had so much in common, that we knew we just had to meet. And that we did. She invited us up so we could meet & take some pictures. So with our new found freedom, we drove a little ways and finally met each other. Rhonda is a beautiful person inside & out, with such amazing talent. She captures the richness of every family she photographs. You’ve got to visit her blog here. Her skills, humor, & sweet spirit will capture you right away. As you can see, her photos can speak for themselves. I think I will always remember this day. For the drive, the snow, the pictures she took, meeting her & another blog friend for the first time (which, btw you’ve got to look at these pictures as well of my other friend…she JUST had a baby.) Last year I would of never thought this could of happened. How exciting. And how lucky & blessed am I that in my small little corner of the blog land, I have met so many amazing women. I am thankful for each one of you, whether you are readers, followers, or fellow bloggers. Really. If you only knew how much of an impact many of you have made on my daily life whether by a post or a comment. So, many thanks to you & Merry Christmas!!!
