My key word for this new year is “LEARN.” Not all these pictures have to do with learning, but after a year of baby twin first year haze…I think I am up to a challenge to learn a thing or two. Usually, I am not big on resolutions. Last year, Chief & I made a few, and surprisingly we were able to do most throughout the year together. This year, I am a little more aggressive about my attempts or plans. I know most people want to learn something new everyday. Yes, that’s my plan, but many would be surprised to “learn” how little I know about basic things that most can do everyday. (I’ll explain this soon in another post.) But for now, here’s my focus areas for learning.
Learn & become savvy with the computer. My oh my, how I need to learn this thing.
Learn how to organize. Learn how to prioritize. Learn how to do it all with 3 kids under foot.
And while we are on the subject of organizing…find a way to store, file, post, save lovely little inspiration pieces. (which btw, that last little image on the bottom right hand side. the one with the shelves & all the frames. if you only knew what I plan to be cooking up from that little piece in the very near future.)
Learn how to P.A.U.S.E. In so many areas of my life – I need to pause. Sometimes, days just fly by & I haven’t even looked up or paused to notice a thing. This is going to change.
Learn to leave the dishes alone, & go play. I love a clean kitchen. But as we all know it is a never ending battle. One that happens most often 3 times a day. More playing & less cleaning.
I love to cook. Always have. But I want to learn more. Learn to make more family meals from some of the best.
Re-learn a good habit, that I used to do so well. What has happened to me? I love water.
Make this Nest a retreat. I love this & a must for 2010.
Learn that simple is always more.
Time ALONE with my husband. Very rare for us. It is a luxury that I need more of. Also, if I may have this image do “double duty” I wouldn’t mind that picket fence in the background as a “plan” so to speak, before Spring. 🙂
And finally, learn to be more frugal. I think more satisfaction comes from doing a project or making something when it costs little, or repurposing items you already have. Learn to find the diamond in the rough. So to speak.
Well, that’s it. Hoping, I am not too overzealous with my plan. I have already signed up for a thing or two that will help my “learning” journey in 2010. I’ll share all the details of my learning journey on the next post, and as I go along. Because what good is your knowledge if you don’t share it??? Right.??.
