Snow. Lots* of it, for us anyway. With the weekend upon us, no place to go, snow & cold temps here to stay for 3+ days…it was all we could do to stay indoors.one.more.day. So we did what Little Bear would do. We had a cupcake picnic of course!
For those of you who are not *tuned-in* to the world of Little Bear ~ he is a lovely little bear that simply makes everyday a party. We had watched enough Little Bear, I decided it was time for our own little picnic.
Every short little minute, I was reminding myself that they are only little for so long. All 3 are at such a fun age. I need to do this sort of thing more often. Forget the cleaning, organizing, laundry, etc. just live, enjoy, & make memories everyday. My life is so full of pieces of heaven.
Our house gets crazy, messy, dirty over & over again. It will always be there to clean up. But these little cupcakes will not be little for long. Their little feet & toes, those chubby legs, those hands that point, eat, play & hug will not stay little. This weekend reminded me to mother in the present. Not to always plan the next action, the next meal, the next day. Be in the present. This was such a spontaneous thing we did. Yes, we did have the cupcakes in the fridge for the snowstorm, but little did I know what fun they would have in store for us. And how they would remind me to literally “savor” every moment in the present.
