This is one of those recipes I made while we “unplugged” a week or so ago. I don’t know why I don’t post more recipes or kitchen creations, because this is really a strong passion for me. I love to create in the kitchen especially when Chief is home & all is well in the house. I need to cook more & post more! Anyways, on with this easy, wonderful savory tart…shall we???
1 1/2 lbs of beef *can be hamburger that you would fry in a pan* but I used beef stew meat that I marinated & slow cooked all day in the crockpot with Allegro. Easy!
1 purple onion sliced/quartered
1 container of button mushrooms
fresh parsley
bleu cheese for topping
1 ready to bake pie crust *or pizza pie crust*
heat oven @375* depending on which type of meat you are doing – cook to your liking. towards the end add mushrooms & sliced onion in with the meat. ***using the allegro really added so much flavor to this tart, along with slow cooking the stew meat that i can’t help but say i highly recommend it this way.***
*place your crust on well greased baking tray or on parchment paper
*fill your crust with all your drained meat, onion, mushroom & fresh parsley. folding the crust’s sides up & over.
*bake @ 375* for 30 minutes ~ then top with bleu cheese.
This was hearty & savory. No, my kids didn’t eat this. I made mashed potatoes with ham & green beans for them. Just if anyone was curious. But that was okay, because there was more for Chief & I!
enjoy!
