Everyday, I drive by this house. It is literally around the corner. When her tree burst with blooms & the flowers started dropping it’s petals here & there – I couldn’t resist. I knew it was the perfect opportunity to place my little pixie right in the middle of it all. Little did I know, the story behind this Tulip Poplar Tree – that it was given as a wedding gift to the bride by her groom 38 years ago. They have lived in this house for 38 years. I can only imagine what stories this house can tell. They sat with smiles watching Madi. I offered to take their picture, but they declined.
These pictures have even more of a sentimental value to me now. One never knows the stories that a tree, house, or neighborhood can tell. I just know I acted on my idea & in return made friends with a wonderful couple. Who by the way, got a “kick” out of Madi’s wardrobe changes. 😉
The idea for these photos came from my dear friend Sibi, aka Mrs. Pearls and Grace. Who is the ultimate in girly girl photo sessions. Thank you, as always Sibi for your lovely inspirations! Every time I see flower petals, I think of you.
