I am thrilled to introduce you all to author Melanie Hoyt Hills. When Melanie first contact me about becoming a sponsor, I was truly thrilled just about the idea that she had a book about to be released on Amazon.com never knowing the subject matter. As you all know, being published doesn’t happen to just anyone, but when I read with tears her introduction statement, I knew this was going to be a positive book for every home to have!
Here’s the introduction:
Author Melanie Hoyt Hills lives in southwest Missouri with her husband and their seven children. Melanie has worked with children, in daycare settings, as a Parent Educator for the Parents as Teachers Program and as a substitute teacher. Melanie attributes her desire for less bullying and more kindness to growing up with her sisters, Julie and Lori, who both have Down Syndrome. Melanie has a small home business, The Cookie Jar, where she enjoys making and selling decorated sugar cookies and, you guessed it, gingerbread kids!
To those of you who don’t know ~ I have a sister with Down Syndrome as well. The subject of bullying & accepting people & kids for who they are is so vital. My husband & I are committed to teaching this in our home. Having a book to aid us along the way in these early years will be priceless!
TODAY Gingerbread Kids was released on Amazon.com! I am thrilled for Melanie!!!
It retails for $6.99 & it is a *MUST* to have in every home’s library.
Buy it now to read before the holidays & buy some extra to share in schools, churches & for gifts.

I never knew bullying could be such a big issue until my kids moved to a new school over a year ago. We have since moved (yet again) and don’t have quite the bully problem anymore, but now I know that is does truly exist…and in places I never thought it could.

What a beautiful giveaway! We have a dear friend of the family who has special needs, growing up with her in my life has affected me so much. Teaching tolerance, compassion and consideration to our family is so very important to us. Thank you! I’m also going to pass along this book info to my son’s preschool teacher who is always on the lookout for a good meaningful book.
