In my husband’s words, “The snow was a gift not just for the kids, but for the parents as well.”
It was magical.
Not sure if I’ve ever shared this before on this blog or not, but ever since college Christmas hasn’t been “magical” for me. I guess working retail & customer service will do that to you. Don’t gasp. It’s ok, I had the best & most blessed Christmas memories growing up that anyone could ask for. I just hadn’t found that “magic” in my adult life until this Christmas. Maybe it was the snow, or maybe it was Graham finally “getting it.” Either way…that magical feeling finally found me or I found it again.
It was wonderful.

So much fun. The perfect morning. I am so glad that you found your Christmas spirit this year, mine was missing until Christmas day (not sure where it was hiding, but better late than never). I have Blissdom spirit though–can’t wait.

Oh Kellie – I LOVE this post and the pics. Snow is magical. I live in MA and usually have snow for Christmas, this year it came on the 26th…a day late but still magical. I am so glad the magic was back in your Christmas…I totally get where you are coming from. I didn’t work retail but the magic was missing…mine returned too this Christmas because I let go of perfection and just let it be magical.
Have a blessed new year…looking forward to more inspiration from you in 2011!

Just have to say – a girl with rain boots and a tutu- she is a girl after my heart. I adore that- and my daughter does the same thing.
Glad Christmas found you again- it makes it better doesn’t it?

Oh my gosh, I am totally crying over here. I love your beautiful family so much, and I miss you. What I wouldn’t give to spend a Christmas with you all again … remember Christmas at Auntie Kathy’s house, John & David always handed out the presents, Sugar Gradma there with us. *Big sigh*.
Graham looks like Chief, I can’t believe it! His own little Mini Me, haha!
I hope to see you in 2011, I miss you.

Beautiful pics, love the wrappings and gifts, and the outdoor pics. Miss the snow like crazy when I see pics like these. Most of all, love your sentiments about finding the magic in Christmas again. I love Christmas and find it magical every year, but my husband has never had magical Christmases – mainly due to his abusive upbringing – but each year, as I see him do more and more preparation for our kids, adding more outdoor decorations, doing more of his own shopping, getting things ready on Christmas eve, I watch a little bit of the magic start to form for him, and it makes my heart so glad!
