What a difference a year makes. It’s funny now, this year there’s sand e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e. in eyelashes, armpits, bathing suits…and oh, those diapers are just so full of sand and…well, you know.
As for big brother~
Being at the beach & in the water is the only time during the year he shows that he’s part of my side of the family. He’s in love & I completely understand. His 5 year old determination will get him to ride that boogie board, if it’s the last thing he does. He has been tossed & turned over many waves, but every time he comes up smiling. I completely understand that passion.
I can’t get over the fact that except for this weekend, we’ve almost had our section of the beach to ourselves. I keep thinking, is this for real? Tybee Island must of warned the people that 2 year old twins with sandy dirty diapers were coming to town & that a 5 year old full of snot would be in the ocean.
Other than the clean up of all the side effects from the kids, it’s *almost* like I have young independent children for once. They can’t seem to get enough. I do believe that this is the only time in almost 3 years I’ve been able to sit still for longer than 5 minutes.
It’s been wonderful.

Okay…
Love the beach pics with your newly “independent” chickens! I am so waiting for those days. I was almost there…then had a 3rd bonus baby. (I also have 2 boys and a girl…but no twins):) We are headed back to our old stomping ground of Gulf Shores, AL after having to East Coast it last summer compliments of BP. I do recall how easy it was with a 5 and 3 year old. This summer it will be 6, 4 and 10 months. Not so easy, but still so worth it!
Love your pics of Savannah. It’s been ages since I’ve visited there, but I’m dying to go back. I’ve started a recent love affair with all things Paula and feel I need to go back to do some “sampling”!
Congrats on the name change and becoming a dot com! 🙂

What a fun vacation. We just booked our trio to Tybee for July 4th. I don’t expect that the beach will be deserted at all. LOL. I cannot wait! I love Savannah and Tybee!!

oh how I miss the beach … we used to go quite a bit until we moved to Missouri – and now the beach is so far away, seemingly. But your time together sounds HEAVENLY!!!
And I do like your new blog name. It’s a wonan’s perogative to change her mind and her blog name as often as she wants! 🙂

Love your new blog!! Tybee beach has been on my list to places to go and actually last Mon we drove right past the exit to it on our way home (to FL) and I begged hubby to drive on over to it, if just for a few hours but we were all tired and hope to go back just us sometime.

We are driving to Orlando from Michigan during fourth of july for dance. I had just started planning a few days ago to drive up to Tybee Island to visit the beach & the lighthouse. Nice to see your post about how nice it is. I’m sure it will be busy for us, but can’t wait to visit georgia!
