GULP!
It’s only because it’s Cha Cha & Gina that I’m signing up for this. I’ve said “No” to so many fun blog related things. I don’t know what has happened this Summer, but it’s all I can do to do the basics, and I’m barely doing that. It doesn’t matter how big or how small the projects are…the goal is to get 10 things done in 10 days, and that sounds really good to me. Because I love crossing things off a list & I’ve barely been able to mark anything off that huge list lately. If you want to read about the deets for this challenge, go here.
So here we go.
1. Clean out the suburban & all those boogers that came along with having 2 year olds.
2. Get my hair done. Had to put this on the list, because it takes all the stars to align just right for this to take place!
3. & 4. (yep, I’m counting this as 2 challenges) Clean out all 3 kids’ dresser drawers & take the clothes to Goodwill.
5 &6. At least a coat of primer on both my kitchen walls & the first bathroom. I’m so tired of the apple green color in my kitchen. ugh.
7. An all day date with Mr. Clean around my doors, cabinets, dining room walls, high chairs & moldings.
8. Our porch. Oh dear heavens, does it need attention! This is part of the damage that the tornadoes did. I’ve taken the canvas awning down, but now it just needs major TLC. This will not be completely done, but just to begin, somewhere would be a huge improvement.
9. An entire day to create new ideas & products for my shop. This may sounds funny for some, but having a day planned & 100% devoted to it, is a rare thing!
10. Let’s party…or plan for 2 parties coming up!!! Prep work, perhaps a craft or two, or three on this day.
And that’s it. Some simple, some not so much. Honestly, I think this is a really good thing. Marking things off a list & blogging about actually getting real life things done around the house, that helps the good of the house is one smart idea! Usually I have to make a HUGE mess in order to have a good blog post. I can get used to actually doing something that will benefit everyone. 😉
So who’s joining in on the challenge? C’mon, it’s just 10 days!
The challenge link will be up on Friday at Cha Cha’s blog. See you there!

This is a great idea. I was just thinking about how many projects I have up in the air around here. Good luck with your ten!

I am loving this idea. I like that your hair is one of them … hey, it’s something you have to look at (and be seen with!) every day, it’s important! I will have to start making my list. And yes, my hair should be on mine too! jules

I can totally relate to your need to go through kids’ clothes. I put off getting rid of clothes for as long as possible because I don’t want to get rid of them if there’s the slightest chance they can still squeeze into it one more time. Deciding which ones still might fit and which ones are too small is such a pain.
Good luck with all your tasks. I would never make it through 10 days. The weekend hits, my hubby is actually home, and I get nothing done. Maybe I could survive a 3 day challenge. I know my limits all too well.

I’m joining in with Cha Cha too! 🙂 Altho – like her – I might have to do 20 things! I’m with you tho…this summer just seems I am not getting things done like I had hoped! 🙂

WELL YOU KNOW I THINK YOUR HAIR SHOULD ALWAYS BE #1 ON THE LIST, a girl has to have her priorities in order-HA. I love your list, I can’t decide what I am most “eggsalad” about seeing the new wall colors or the party prep, you always inspire me-so bring it on sister.
Enjoy those kiddos

I love the “all day date with Mr. Clean.” I just had one last week and he is AMAZING! It’s unbelievable how much crud can accumulate on the doors!
Great post and great photos!
