Confession: we’ve been playing outside around 8ish or 9ish at night. Someone told me on twitter, I should have my kids in bed, when I originally posted this picture a few days ago. {Ahem…} I wanted to reply to her – “for the love of all things holy, lady – it’s the only time of day that I can *somewhat* tolerate our hot & humid days.” Besides, the fact that it was none of her business + it is summertime, ya know.
anyways…
I thought I would share some of the pics I took when I went to some of my favorite stores & flower nurseries around town.
I want 6 of these chairs for our dining room, in gunmetal. Well – to be honest I would take any color. Fingers crossed they’ll still be there next month.
I’m kicking myself that I didn’t buy this succulent arrangement. I love this wooden bowl, (minus the blue stones) but it was gone when I went back. BOO!
Wine barrels. They’re everywhere in blogland right now. I just can’t think of where I would put one. Maybe next year???
and finally…
one of the best profiles – ever.
Morning bed hair, there’s nothing better.

Pooey– summertime is for staying out late, catching lightning bugs, and enjoying yourself. Good for you for seizing the moments. 🙂

Love it! Boo to the lady that made that rude comment. Its like the lady at Outback Steakhouse who told me I shouldn’t have my child in preschool so many days a week. WTH?
Anyway, love the pics 🙂

It has been so hot here that we’ve been staying inside for most of the day and not going out until around 5 pm. My kiddos don’t come in and eat dinner until it’s too dark to see:) Those chairs are really cute, and probably perfect for kids!

Love this time of year and I let my boys stay up way past their normal bedtime. I’m in Texas and the only time of day that’s it’s pleasant enough to be outside is late in the evening. Let them sleep late…it’ll all work out! Don’t ya just love unsolicited advice?
And your photos, swoon! Love those chairs! I started following you on pinterest (I just figured it out this week, ha!) and love your pins!

You terrible, terrible person. The very idea that your kids are not in bed before 10 in the summer. lol Geesh, at that rate, I guess your commentor on twitter would think that on a school night 5:00 p.m. would be a good time to turn in. haha Great photos, by the way.

Oh give me a break, kids can stay up late in the summer. Life is too short, enjoy it!

Some people just need to keep their opinions to themselves. Boo on the Twitter twit! Some of my best memories as a child are staying outside late on summer evenings to play. Anyone who lives in the South gets it! We just went outside for a few minutes to water the garden and came in drenched. It’s too hot! Love your pics. 🙂
