Pumpkins, they’ve got to be the easiest home accessory for the season. It doesn’t matter what they look like~ they can put a smile on my face in an instant.
I had to do a big ‘ole U-turn when I saw our Farmer’s market unloading these beauties the other morning. Instant heaven.
The above picture is one I’ve been dreaming about since this Summer. That’s my thrift store dining room table underneath those pumpkins, that I’m *almost* finished with. I knew the minute I sanded that puppy down, that it was made for pumpkins. ha!
But in the mean time, I placed these beauties on our simple mantel.
This house, like everyone of your homes is busy right now. So I opted for easy decor this season, but that was beautiful all at the same time.
I also brought back our old friends & fauxs.
The kids go nuts over this, and to be honest – I do too!
You can read how I revamped the white faux pumpkins by going here.
And thanks to Martha, for those mice ~ it’s an instant hangout for the kids.
So who’s going to the pumpkin patch this weekend? I’m thinking I need several more pumpkins. It becomes a sickness around here, these pumpkins. But it’s a sickness I love to have every year.

I love to decorate with pumpkins too! The little ones always seem to rot so quickly that they never make it all the way to Halloween if I buy them this early. Do you do something special to keep them from rotting or do you just toss them and buy more?
I heart pumpkins too. I would leave them out all year if it wouldn’t be weird. 🙂 Your stairs are so cute!
those steps with the mice and pumpkings are amazing. LOVE!
I love pumpkins and gourds with warts on them.
why did i just realize you were from knoxville?? ok…how much do you charge for your flowers and do you sale them each??
I love your simple Fall mantel, speaks to my heart!
I love how you decorated your stairs!! It makes me want to rip the carpet off my steps!! Oh-wait – – I can’t spell HALLOWEEN on my steps – – I only have 6!!
