1. They are doing some of the silliest things. And goodness gracious, they’ll repeat everything you say. There’s no such thing as a secret in this house right now.
2. I caved to the madness.
Missoni for Target can be found on Ebay! I hardly spent over what they were asking for in the stores. Which makes me feel pretty good about my sassy new shoes, even though I show more toe cleavage than I care too. 😉 ha!
3. It doesn’t matter if you walk in first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon. I’m always surrounded.
There’s always an audience, something to stub my toe on or something “buzzing” away. Never thought I could be crafty under such disturbances, but on *most* days, it doesn’t faze me a bit.
4. My husband & I are HUGE fans. I mean HUGE.
The world stops every Wednesday night for us when the show comes on. Seriously, I rarely watch TV. But on Survivor night & if my husband happens to be home – I’ve been known to make some of our faves….
Puff pastry wrapped Brie, cranberries & brown sugar – anyone?
5. Speaking of getting out…I think we live in a great little city. Not too big, not too small. This time of year – you never know what will be going on downtown.
They had a festival of hot air balloons. There’s always such gorgeousness & excitement wrapped in all sorts of emotion when you see several of these all together. It was too windy for them to go up, but just seeing them like this was a big thrill.
For the past few Saturdays, I’ve scooped up the kids early for a morning trip around town to see what’s going on. Not a plan, other than donuts, milk & of course coffee but just to experience this time of year & the crisp mornings.
Goodness knows, they’re already up at the crack of dawn anyways.
I wouldn’t call it a tradition that I’ve started, but I’m already looking forward to this Saturday morning. I really can’t believe we’re already in the middle of October. It seems like this month is in turbo high speed. So I’m holding on tight to this month, the crisp mornings & especially those kids of mine. Hoping that maybe if I sit on them, they’ll stop growing & time will slow down.
Happy Friday & Happy Weekend everyone!

#5 has me incredibly homesick for Tennessee!!!!!!!! I was just in Knoxville the end of Sept – and every time I go back “home”, I think we will just HAVE TO retire there … someday.

Last month I went up in my first ever hot air baloon…it was tethered but went high enough to get the idea:) My mom won the free ride. She went way up!
your Saturday mornings sound beautiful. I’ve been doing something similar on Sundays. NO working on anything. We just do fun things around town and enjoy each other, the day and just being.
Have fun tomorrow:)

Do you have a template for those mice on the stairs. They are adorable.
