The time is coming soon that my little pixie will have her own room. So naturally, I’ve already started thinking about how we should evolve her room from the twins’ nursery to a little girl’s room. So I started doing some artwork for her soon to be {own} room using one of my absolute favorite cutting machines – the GO!Baby cutting machine made by Accuquilt.com
Have you heard of the GO!Baby or Accuquilt.com? Let’s just say, I probably use this machine every day of the week. I was smitten with it the very first time I used it a few months back.
As with any girl, she loves pink & flowers. So I got busy using a blank canvas {literally} and created some artwork.
Supplies needed:
blank canvas
fabric cut in strips
sponge/brush
rotary blade or scissors
hot glue gun & sticks
thread – or in my case baker’s twine from The Twinery
*fabric for the flowers*
Now if anyone has ever worked with Mod Podge, than you know it is so easy. As you can see from the pictures above, I simply cut some vintagey girly fabric in strips & mod podged them onto the canvas. Easy peasy.
Now to make my flowers, I used the GO!Baby cutting machine – which you will see in the video below. Again – easy peasy!
After I cut all my flowers, I used my baker’s twine & stitched on top of the flowers & the leaves. Then, I glued them all together using hot glue & glued them on the canvas.
The GO!Baby & the cutting dies made by Accuquilt have yet to fail me!
Always, every time – flawless. I love that about a machine.
My little pixie also has a thing for animals. But what little girl doesn’t? I made this fairy tale box not too long ago for her & it was love at first sight. (The bunting…yep, that was made by the GO!Baby as well.)
I think the whole collection or maybe I should say grouping (???) plays off of each other nicely. That “M” is mod podge with fabric from one of my maternity shirts I had when I was pregnant with the twins. I love that the deep pink color ties in all 3 pieces.
Little girl fabric artwork & collage for a soon to be little girl’s room all her own.
