We went camping last weekend & I survived.
I’m not a camping girl.
But those roasted marshmallows were worth it all!
We woke up to 41* degrees in a tent.
Remember, I’m not a camping girl.
My kids are still talking about it days later.
I’m still trying to get all the dirt out of their socks.
Every piece of clothing is filthy dirty.
Did I mention our hot water heater is on the fritzs?
We are now headed to my parents’ house with dirty clothes & excited kids.
I must say, I thought I would never live this kind of life…you know with kids (3 of them that is) & actually enjoying the great outdoors, but I love how *my plans* for my life didn’t work out.
We’re about to experience a 40* degree temperature drop in the next 2 days. Double thick socks, here I come. Heaven.
Hope you all are enjoying your week!

Our family is going camping Friday – Monday at Oak Mountain State Park in Alabama and it is supposed to be in the upper 30’s at night/mornings! We have 3 kids too and we tent camp as well but we are all excited anyway! Loved your pictures and glad you all had fun…and survived! 🙂

I’m with ya…I’m not a camping kind of girl either. Have your heard of Glamping(glamorous camping)? Now that’s more me, haha. By the way, I got my stamp in the mail from Allison Nash(the custom return address stamp I won from your giveaway) and it is beautiful! I can’t thank you enough.

gorgeous fire! Great times your kids will always remember. Glad you got away. Must admit I like quality sheets & 71 degree air…but these are the ties that bind. Enjoy!

I love your pictures – country life is the best!
Last year we went camping (with 4 kids + 1 on the way) and it was FREEZING cold day & night. We came home early. I love camping, even though it seems we hit the weekends that are one weather extreme to another. No matter how cold/hot/wet it is, there is something about sleeping/eating/living outside that children love!
