We live in the South, y’all.
This doesn’t happen around these parts too often. So you better believe I packed up the twins (G was in school) and headed up the mountain. (9 miles away.) It was wonderful. The first snow is always the prettiest snow, as my friend Amber says. And she is so right.
Have a lovely Sunday.

Kellie, first I promise never to leave a comment this long – EVER again. Second, I’ll explain why this “old enough to be your dad” face is in your comment section. I noticed you in the Blissdom twitter stream. I was at Blissdom last year, and will be again in March. I blog in this community brimming with full of awesome Christian moms, because Christian moms write about God like nothing I’ve ever read before. I went through all of seminary, and was assigned only one book written by a woman. Christian moms have access to the love of God like no one else. And now I get access too – by reading and being read. Anyway, that’s how I found you. And again, sorry for the long comment, it’s just this one – so long – just this one to say hi – and make sure it’s okay that I comment on your site. Being a single, never been married man in this community, I’ve learned a tiny bit of sensitivity – enough to know I shouldn’t just barge in without explaining why.
And about your post – first of all, your Christmas in July Chris this tablescape was absolutely full of awesome. Right down to how it made you happy to make the faces on the snowman. And your full of smiles recounting of the first snow – so full of smiles I couldn’t help smiling big myself. Smiles are important. So thank you. And even it – even though not written about faith – I see Christian mom analogies to the faith that I could write about for a month. The closeness of your twin babies. The freshness of the snow. The way you went out of your way to get your babies and make sure that they witnessed it. I could go on – THIS is why I read this community! Anyway, I’ll be back to read more if it’s ok, leading up to Blissdom, and afterwards. I might also follow you on twitter soon – just so you know. God bless and keep you and each and every one of yours Kellie.

We haven’t had any snow yet but we usually get at least one little snowfall a year and I can’t wait for it!
