If I were to ask you how many pieces of clothing you have in your closet, what would your answer be?
40, 60, 80? Too stuffed to count?
When was the last time you cleaned out your closet?
Maybe some of you have – since it’s January, but I know I have yet to tackle mine.
What about your wardrobe itself – do you like it? Are you always shopping for more? Better yet, do you feel confident in the clothes you have?

Bowl cuts!
I was a child, so not much of a choice there…
I was only born in 82, but I fell victim to bowl hair cuts! lol As well as a few generations of hand me down horrible church dresses. You should see them…ay ya ya! I need some serious help, I would love a copy! Off to check out her site. 🙂
I was victim of the big hair in the 80’s!!
I had a perm! Oh, and I popped my collar. I was THAT cool.
I was just a little kid in the 80s, but I definitely wore the awful look of biker shorts underneath a skirt, eek!
abgillette at gmail.com
stirrup leggings.
Perm, Big Glasses…My husband had a perm, we had a poodle, next my dad said even the baby would have a perm!! Oh yeah, the closet needs help.

Oh wow – what a great idea! And goodwill shopping – never thought of it for clothes!
What a great ebook! Oh how I loved the ’80s. . . I think the worst was when I wore a jean jacket (that was three sizes too big) full of rock band buttons to Disney World in the summer. Oh the things we did to look “cool”!
Now following Haley on Twitter!
remember those shorts called “jams”? oh yeah–i rocked those!
A million rubber bracelets on each arm! Very “Madonna”!

Welll, I wasn’t born until 1990… 😉 But I’d love a copy of the ebook!

& I already did the tweet trade for a chapter. 😉
I had an awful perm which left my hair super frizzy and I wore some funky striped pants too! Ick…
I now follow Haley on twitter! yea!
Oh, sounds like a great book! I fell victim to my mother cutting my hair something a little like this: business in the front, party in the back – and I am a GIRL!
I feel victim to horrible wildly colored leg warmers…ewww. And I have pictures too!
Big hair, bright leg warmers(in texas?) and scrunchies!!!
Rolled jeans and layered socks. Gah!
I was very little in the 80s but I do remember wearing those leggings with the elastic that went around your foot.
I was pretty little in the 80s, but I had a pair of jelly shoes and I wore my hair in a high side pony tial with even higher Aqua netted bangs.
Yowsa!
Looking forward to looking around her blog–thanks for introducing me.
Love from,
Greta
I started highschool in the late 80’s and am victim of big, permed hair. OMG, I can still smell the aquanet!

Ooo. Two layers of too big t-shirts, so that when rolled up your sleeves it had a two toned effect. And of course then the bottom of the t-shirts were wadded tightly shoved into a “T-Tie”. No sensible 80’s girl could live without one!
I really need this book — I’m not confident in what I currently own and am always searching for more better stuff.
I had this fabulous florescent socks made out of … mesh!
I love her style, how cool!
Oh I just loved the 80s! I feel victim to EVERYTHING. Big hair, over the shoulder sweatshirts, leg warmers…you name it! I love the 80s!

I don’t think there was anything I didn’t fall victim to in the 80s! Big hair, leg warmers, neon colors, leggings, stirrup pants, swatches, – oh what a cool decade!
All of it – Flashdance off the shoulder sweatshirts, Madonna lace and rubber bracelets, add to that neon, parachute pants, big hair. I graduated high school in 89 so I hit all those styles.
FORGET The 80’s I’ve been victim to ALL of those trends in the last 5 years! SMH….Love this idea 🙂
ducks (on t-shirts, sweatshirts …). and lots of eyelet lace (I was born in 86, so there’s an excuse for it, but still! what baby wears that much lace? and what was with the ducks?!)
I was born in 85, but I do distinctly remember a pom-pop sweater! I would love a copy! I am doing a challenge this year- to not buy any clothing for myself for the entire year! This would really help!

The 80’s were the best! I loved flashdance sweatshirts, leggings with big t-shirts and those Candies high heel shoes 🙂
Big Hair! It would touch the roof of my car at times. 🙂
Neon! And I’d wear it again in an instant!
I fell victim to the layered sock look. Makes my feet sweat just thinking about it.
Box bangs (shudder). This book sounds perfect! transeau(at)sbcglobal(dot)net
Jrans that were tight rolled at the bottom and big permed hair and blue eye shadow.
It wasn’t a mullet, but almost the short hair in the front and long in the back. Especially gross with a perm. Big bangs too. Loved the 80s though. Charm necklaces were a favorite! And I had a favorite pink and white striped Lacoste shirt as a kid.
I was only alive for 4 years in the 80’s, but I know that I got put in a lot of sweatsuits…

Now this looks cute! I would love a copy. I was a child of the 80’s, so you name it, I did it. I was probably most famous for patterned leggings with double slouchy socks color coordinated to match. That was my jam. And hey, I still love a good flashdance sweatshirt!
I was a tiny Punky Brewster look-a-like. I had the “Claw” bangs and “wings” coming from the sides of my head. Mis-matched socks and shoes, leggings, sparkle….Oh the good days. 🙂
Hmmm, I was born in ’75 so the 80s and me kind of grew up together! Big hair, neon anything, and fold ‘n’ cuff jeans are what got me through! Oh, and did I mention big hair?
This will sorely age me, but may make your younger readers appreciate the times they live in….I spent the 80’s pregnant with my first 4 children, wearing huge mumus with arrows pointing down at my belly and pictures of storks on my XXL T-shirts. And I had a tight perm and feathery bangs (yes, they co-existed!) Now I’m a chic GrandMama (with 7 kids still at home..) but I still care about wardrobe and fashion 🙂
I was a kid but I clearly remember the ginormous pony tail holders my mom would put in my hair! Plus the giant bows – all of course matched whatever outfit I had on 🙂

Umm…I guess I fell victim to cheesy onesies? Haha, born in 88. But I did rock the side ponytail in the 90s 😉
I had hair wings need I say more
Big bangs, perms, jeans with piping down the side, glad that was a long time ago 🙂
Poof bangs, tight rolled jeans, and punky-brewster style jean short cut offs over bright tights….
wow, i could totally use something like that ebook! oh…peg leg pants, double socks of different colors…home perm…hypercolor shirt….fun fun 80’s child:) myhedwig (at) gmail (dot) com
I hardly remember the 80s but I did wear lots of biker shorts and leg warmers.
I didn’t have much of a sense of style in the 80’s b/c I was a kid, but knowing my mom, if it was bad in the 80’s, it was probably in my wardrobe.
I was just a kid but I had this really ugly pastel sweater 🙂

Oh my goodness, what horrid trend did I not fall victim to? That would have been jr high and high school so I was all about the wardrobe. Big hair (not permed though, one bad experience with that and never again), leg warmers, stirrups, neon lace, off the shoulder, socks (often multiple colors) with my jeans tucked in, ugh I cannot go on!!
I fell victim to leg warmers and winged hair. I really wanted parachute pants, but my mom wouldn’t let me. Smart woman!
camchorse@gmail.com
Stirup pants and big bangs were the 2 things for me!
Huge shoulder pads that put football players to shame, topped with a poodle perm!
I wore leg warmers just about everywhere! I lived in San Diego … so what made me think I needed them?? I didn’t do the big hair … I went the other way and had the “Lady Di” haircut for years.
I would love the book … have been going though my closet and dresser … not much I care to wear, so much of it has gone into the donatation box.. and it’s all in really good condition. Someone else will be blessed.
i feel victim to the permed hair!
rwvanvoorhis at gmail dot com
Big bangs, stirrup pants, jelly shoes, and day-glo everything. Yep, it was all bad! And now my 12 y/o dd’s style is so much eighties throw back, it hurts me lol!
Oh boy , do I ever need this. In the 80’s Aqua Net hairspray was my best friend. I had huge, tall, thin, fanned bangs and the rest of my hair was poofy and curly. Oh, if I only had a picture! Oh wait, I burned those! I NEED to win this, you should see my closet! 🙂 xoxo, Melaine

I was in high school in the late 80s and fell victim to tight-rolled jeans… making even my size 4 legs look like a turkey drumstick 🙁

My absolute worst offense in the 80s was a pair of black lace fingerless gloves!

I fell victim to poodle permed hair, and homemade jumpers…ugh
I had the permed hair and leggings.
Permed and frizzy hair, leggings, and shoulder pads in everything – even t-shirts! yikes.
Oh nice, I’d love to read this!
What did I fall victim to in the 80’s … um, still letting my mom dress me / buy my clothes, I was in elementary school so didn’t really know much. I mean that Smurfette sweatshirt I wore everyday was awesome, right?
