We’ve had a full week already of celebrating everything July 4th-ish. A small town parade, watermelon contest, the lake, watching the hot sun go down every night & knowing Mom’s homemade breakfast will be there when you wake up. It’s been fabulous. Well, other than this massive heat wave. We visited my parents & sister this past week & may I say, it’s always good to go home. It’s my recharging-docking station, with all the comforts of homemade food, parents’ love, and knowing that I’m not the only parent in the house. It’s nice to go back & be the child again. And also nice having a “backup” plan *that I rarely get to enjoy* of my parents keeping an eye out on all of us = pure comfort.
I wanted to leave you with this larger pic via Instagram. I shared this on FB, but I know not all of you may have seen it.
Welcome to my mom’s garden. As I said before, she is my own mother & I’m constantly amazed by her. This is all her & God’s handiwork. No one else helps her out there. Passed the covered arbor is her veggie garden. Yes, she does it all.
Not sure if I’ll be back this week or wait to return next week. That’s the lovely thing about blogging…it’s all done on your time. You can go into vacay mode anytime you wish.
Speaking of vacay mode, my shop is no longer on vacay mode. It’s open for business.
Happy 4th of July, everyone!
