With Summer coming to a close, I wanted to post some more of our vacation pictures. Because after all, documenting our family memories is why I started this blog in the first place. And to much of my surprise, my husband loved Disneyland. I mean, really I still am in shock over that one. But just to be clear, this trip, this day to Disneyland was amazing. The longest wait time we had for a line was 40 minutes, and that was for Space Mountain & the weather…ohmygoodness. I couldn’t have requested anything better. Pure Magic. We even put on sweatshirts at the end. Amazing.
You know, when you have more than one child, you want as a mom to experience it all through their own eyes. At their various age levels, with their favorite characters, with what they want to do the most. I was worried on how we were going to do that. Because we only went for a day. Divide that time up by 3 kids, well you get the picture. But again, it worked out perfectly. The twins (4 years old) pooped out about 6pm. We rented strollers (thankfully Disney’s strollers are very big) & my husband just hung out with them while they napped. Which gave me freedom to have the most amazing few hours with my oldest. We did everything he wanted to do. Went on all those crazy rides that go around & around & around. OY! But it was a time I’ll remember forever & hopefully he will as well. Everyone has their own favorite parts of Disneyland. I have been lucky & experienced Disneyland as a young kid, teenager, young adult & now a mom. In every stage of life to me it still is a magical place.
I only took my iphone for pictures. I decided to leave my big camera behind. I am so glad I did! I know many of you might be gasping at that thought of leaving your big camera behind. But really I wanted to have the freedom of not carrying it around + I wanted to be in the present with the kids. The only thing I wished I would have had, had I known there was such a thing, is this little portable battery charger for the iphone. Because when you stay 14 hours, your battery will run out.
And to much surprise, both of us thousands of miles away from our own homes, I met a fellow blogger & IGer (Instagramer) at Disneyland!
Missy from Starr Circus!!! I may or may not have had the deer in the headlight look when she called me by my name, at Disneyland. It wasn’t so much that she knew my name & blog, mind you. It was the part that it was late at night. I had just come off all those rides that go around & around & around, like I mentioned above. My hair…well we wont even go there. You can imagine, almost 14 hours at Disney, what one might look like. 😉 But the very same minute she said “hi” to me & introduced herself & her family I knew she was a sweet soul. She from Iowa, me from Tennessee, meeting up at Disneyland in California. Who would have thought!!!
It’s a small world after all…….
I’m social as can be! Are you? Follow along if you like.

Awwww…I got chills just looking at your pictures! It really, truly is a completely MAGICAL experience (the perfect weather didn’t hurt either!).
Thank you so much for the kind words. It was such a blessing to me to be able to meet you in person after reading your blog for such a long time. I had no doubt you’d be as sweet in person as you seem on the blog, but to my surprise you were even kinder/prettier/funnier…even when I caught you off guard in my moment of blogger stardom. 🙂
Here’s to great memories and new friends! 🙂

I love Disney (although I’ve never been to Disneyland). I have to know how you got the adorable heart bokeh in the first photo. Is it an iphone app?

What a sweet post. My husband actually proposed to me 10 years ago in front of that very same castle. So I have a special place in my heart for Disneyland.
