We’re in full countdown mode over here, for you know what…Halloween! I mean, it’s like the first thing on the kids’ lips when they get out of bed in the morning! Next week we’re on Fall Break which even builds to the excitement. Well, not that they needed anything else to get them pumped up, but I decided to decorate our porch & carve a small pumpkin. I also thought how fun would it be to switch out my dipped votive candles from this Summer into fun Halloween colors.
So this post is basically a copycat post from the original. But with fun Halloween colors in mind.
Just grab some votive candle holders from the Dollar Tree some paint & a bowl. Pour some paint in the bowl & then turn your votive around in the paint. To see the full tutorial from this Summer, go here.
We’re also already on a sugar high around here. *Note to self never buy Halloween candy weeks before.* 😉
That ‘ole Jack is such a happy kind of guy. I never mind him being around. Why wait until Halloween to carve a pumpkin? Enjoy it all now. I’m sure you all have been outside just as much as we have lately. It’s been gorgeous around here. So it was just the natural thing to do & jazz up the porch for Halloween.
I have a feeling I’ll be carving a few more over the weekend. And of course, snacking along the way!

I need a note to myself as well… we’ve gone through countless candy corn bags. I keep trying to tell myself there has to be some corn in there somewhere.
LOVE LOVE LOVE these candle holders… you’ve got me thinking about an upcoming bday party; I could do some pretty cool votives on the cheap! Never tried this before, I think it is about time! Thanks for posting!!!
