You know…sometimes you just deserve a really good sweet. I mean really good. It was the kids’ first day of school & I wanted to celebrate their big day, and celebrate me f i n a l l y having a few hours to myself. And since you cannot go wrong with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, I thought why not give it a try, ya know???
I know, please forgive me, I’m evil.
The smell of this Monkey Bread baking will drive you nuts! I do recommend placing a baking sheet underneath your bundt pan while baking. In case some of your topping leaks out. All of these flavors combined into one amazing dessert, is a dream come true! 😉
Ingredients
- 3 - 7.5 ounce cans refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 30 Reese's, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400º. Grease a bundt pan well, and set aside.
- Combine cinnamon and sugar in a large zip top bag.
- Open the cans of biscuit dough. Place a Reese's in the center of each piece of dough and roll each one into a ball. You'll have 30 biscuit total, so you'll need 30 Reese's unwrapped.
- Place the dough balls into the zip top bag, & let your kids shake to coat the dough. Add 5-8 at a time. Repeat until all of the pieces of dough are coated in cinnamon sugar.
- Place the coated dough balls in the bundt pan.
- In a small bowl, microwave the butter, brown sugar, and honey for 1 minute. Stir well to dissolve the sugar. Pour over the dough balls in the bundt pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until dough appears to be firm & set.
- Allow to stand for 5 minutes and then invert onto a plate.
Another perk about this bread, is that you can have the kids help. I’m sure by now, every household in America has made some version of Monkey Bread. So we all know how easy it is + fun!
The twins rotated shaking up the bags of dough, so it was a fun activity for them to do after school!
And of course eat!!! We devoured almost the entire thing! It was amazing! The Peanut Butter Cups were melty & gooey inside the brown sugar & cinnamon coated bread = Perfection!
