Got weeds??? I sure do! This post is sponsored by Sprectracide, and I must say I am in love with their new easy spray gun!!!
The sun is shining and the birds are singing this week! We reached 82* today!!! So I am determined to get myself, along with my very pale white legs outside to start some Spring Projects and work on some much needed curb appeal for our home!
I know we have all been in the same boat, as far as cursing the Winter with our fists held high, saying “I never want a Winter like this again!” So yeah, to say I was a little excited to step outside and start working on our yard, porch & entry way…is a slight understatement!
Some of you may still be waiting for warmer weather to arrive. Would you believe, we had snow last week, and here we are less than a week later with 82*!!! So I guess you can understand why I couldn’t help but get myself outside (along with my pale white legs) and start spraying some weed and grass killer.
Okay, time for a little truth: Yes, this post is sponsored by Sprectracide, but the funny thing is, I purchased this container of Sprectracide before I was ever contacted by them for a post. One of my neighbors told me about it, and was going on & on about the automatic spray gun. So I HAD to give it a try. Because no neighbor of mine is going to beat me out on the “Yard of the Month” this year!!! 😉
But seriously, when I started using the spray gun, I couldn’t believe how easy it was! It’s all automatic, there’s batteries that come with the spray gun, so it will actually do the pumping for you! Sprectracide is also offering a coupon on their Facebook page for their Weed & Grass Killer. Trust me, you will love this container! We did a major overhaul on the exterior of our house 2 years ago. But like with any other home, especially older ones you have got to maintain it. So I have small little projects to do, that will truly make our curb appeal & porch pop with color!
Sprectracide makes several project for your home, but today I am speaking just on Spretracide Weed & Grass Killer:
● You will notice that you’ll start to see results in 3 hours once you have sprayed an area of weeds
● For use on patios, walkways and flowerbeds
● This product is a non-selective herbicide that will kill any vegetation contacted. It enters plants through the leaves and moves down to the roots. This will ensure that the entire plant is eliminated.
● Avoid direct spray or drift onto desirable plants, lawn grasses, shrubs, and trees. Protect desirable plants and vegetation with a piece of plastic or cardboard.
● If desirable plants are accidentally sprayed, wash plants with water immediately
● This product has no soil activity and thus will not affect nearby untreated plants.
Of course I have big projects I would like to do, and also small ones. Obviously I need to get rid of my weeds in our stone walk way. I also need to spray our mulch beds and get new mulch. On each side of our stone walk way, I have 2 small flower beds. There’s just a few perennials in there, but I typically add a few annual flowers to keep pops of color all Spring & Summer long.
I also want to spruce up our porch. During the Winter, it’s so boring and quite frankly depressing looking out on an empty porch. So I have plans to add flowers, ferns and various outdoor plants to bring it back to life, maybe a new outdoor rug and some cushions.
I cannot wait to do this! It’s almost like you gain an additional room during the Spring & Summer months when you can start using your porch again!
Our trees are starting to bloom, and slowly but surely our grass is starting to green up. Oh how I love this time of year! We bought our house in the Spring. It’s when I first fell in love with it. So I typically get all rejuvenated to start DIY projects for our home or just working in the yard. And as with any older home, it’s seems you always have to stay on top of the painted concrete porch, I need to touch it up with some paint as well.
I have had a Curb Appeal and Exterior Loving and a Gardens and Flowers Pinterest Board ever since I joined pinterest. I love looking through inspiration photos to see ideas. Feel free to follow along & we can pin together!

This post is Part 1 of a 3 part series on Spring Projects and Creating Curb Appeal. I’m not always the most organized person, but when it comes to projects I always find it’s good to write down what you want to do and of course plan ahead with a budget. So I’ll be back to share Part 2 of this series in a few days!
