Would you like to have another tour of our new home???
I thought it would be fun to share the Living Room, Dining & Master Bedroom in this post.
Remember all of these photos were taken while we were having inspection. And also just to remind you this is a foreclosure. So it’s been vacant for around 3 years from what we’ve been told & we close on it next week!!!
Here’s the first post, when I spilled the beans & told you all we were buying a new house. This post is mainly about the exterior of the house.
And here’s the second post about the kitchen & sunroom family room combo = my favorite room of the house!
So to refresh your memory, here’s our front door…
When you walk in through the front door there is a little hallway, you can go either left or right. So basically you’re facing a big wall when you walk into the house.
Can we just stop right here for a second…
When I was younger I used to draw the “layout” of my house & dream about what it would look like. I guess you could say I was always about the details, and decor even when I was little.
EVERYTIME I drew my “dream house” you walked into a hallway with a large wall facing you. It’s always been in my imagination to have a little hallways & wall in an entry way.
Sure, that maybe odd to mention, but just go with me here…wouldn’t that wall you see below on the opposite side of the door, wouldn’t it be perfect for a huge mud room/shoes/locker bins type of set up??? Wouldn’t that look great in this area?
I also love the ceiling in this entry way!!!
(sorry for the blurry pics, I was walking & taking pics way to fast!!! I was excited. ;))
If you go to the left when you walk in the door, you’ll be headed into the Master bedroom…
The Master bedroom was once originally the garage! But someone came along and converted it into the Master. Making it a full 4 bedroom house. There’s a built in TV stand and then the door on the left is the bathroom & the other door is closet.
This room is huge! There’s plenty of light coming from the windows. The only odd thing is that there’s a window on every wall. So it will be hard to make a bed look “centered” in this room.
But don’t worry…I’m up for the challenge. 😉
I love these 2 little steps…it make the Master Bedroom feel more like a suite.
Now, let’s pretend we’re back at the front door again but this time we will go to the right to walk into the living room…
The Living Room is a great size & has lots of walls for decor. That is something I do not have in my current house, lots of wall space. So my walls will be looking rather blank to begin with, but as I’ve always said it’s good to soak in a new place & live there for a little bit before you actually start to really decorate. In the picture above, you walk in the walk way straight ahead & it is the dining room.
The fireplace…
This picture above is taken while standing in the door way of the dining room. I don’t want to use the word “formal” dining room, because we are truly NOT formal people. It’s close enough to the kitchen to be considered casual.
I don’t know about you, but I like casual dining with my family. 😉
This picture above is the actual dining room. That hole in the wall on the right, is an access panel to plumbing for the bathroom on the other side of that wall. So hopefully no worries in that department!
Fingers crossed!!!
This picture above is taken in the dining room looking into the kitchen (obviously) like I said before, casual dining & close to the kitchen. Perfect for us & for my kids who are 99.9% of the time always “S T A R V I N G !!!” so it will be extra convenient for them as well.
