Well, like I always do with the beginning of a new season or holiday I typically start with my mantel when it comes to changing out my decor. It was time to say goodbye to my Fall mantel (that I truly loved so much!!!)
But it was time for a clean fresh start.
I was craving that fresh pine smell in my house. It’s one of my all-time favorite smells.
So I had an idea to mix a little bit of a lumberjack plaid in with my fresh cut greenery for a…

One of my favorite ways to style my mantel during Christmas is to simply use fresh cut greenery, layer in ornaments, feathers, pinecones, and lights (you’ve gotta have lights some where!) and add a printable.
The simplicity is what always makes it so pretty to me, and also the ease of it. You can never go wrong with sparkle, bling, and fresh cut greenery.
In my repurposed light fixture towards the back of my mantel in the above picture, I have a cluster of bottle brush trees along with battery operated fairy lights. I love these fairy lights! This is my 3rd year to have the same set. They look so magical in this display at night.
They are the best for small displays, and it also has a battery operated timer!
As I always do for all my printables offered here on Nest of Posies, I team up with Stephanie Lynn from Designs by Spec.
She is my go-to gal for anything that is design related. Stephanie Lynn is also designing graphics, headers, logos for blogs, Etsy shops and anything else that may need a custom designer’s touch. She can also do invitations, printables and resumes!
Check out her shop, FB page or follow her on Instagram for all her latest design styles.
