BATulous Halloween Home Tour

Eek! I’m so excited about today’s post! Welcome to our BATulous Halloween Home Tour! It’s officially October, so you know what that means. It’s time to get those Halloween decor bins out & decorate your home. Or you may only have 1 or 2 bins – which is totally ok. Hopefully, this post will give you some ideas on how to decorate inexpensively & creatively. I typically just decorate a few areas of our home for Halloween, but this year I wanted to do a little bit more.

I’d figured it was best to start off by way of our porch. This is an area I always decorate for Halloween. It’s almost symbolic, don’t you think – to decorate your porch for all the little trick or treaters. As you can see in this post, I truly don’t have a lot invested in Halloween decor. My Fall decor is still out, and I’ve just added to it with the few Halloween pieces I do have.

I think I will always be a HUGE fan of the silhouette Halloween bats. Hence the title – BATulous Halloween Home Tour. You can make your own bats or purchase the Martha Stewart ones at Michaels. Which is totally what I did.

After entering in our door and entry way – you see our Halloween mantel. I absolutely love how it turned out. The only things that are “new” here are the paper bats & the pumpkins. Everything else, I shopped for around my home.

I almost always decorate our kitchen for Halloween. Since it’s the center of our home, and my kids happen to love it when I do. I have 2 elementary kids and 1 middle schooler. As I was decorating this past weekend, I realized pretty soon we won’t be trick or treating. I’ll be dropping them off for parties or sleepovers. Someone asked me a few days ago, if I had lost my mind – decorating so early. LOL – No, not at all! These sweet years won’t last long and I want to fully enjoy it while they’re still young and while they love it as much as I do.

As you can see, everything is pretty simple. I used my daughter’s witches hat from a few years ago & sat it up on our kitchen shelves. We both loved the look instantly.

I thought I would go ahead & slip one more in here of our porch all aglow. It’s not perfect, it’s not extravagant – it’s just what we like around here. I love all the holidays and all the seasons, but I love Halloween most of all.
