Has your house been invaded by Fortnite as well? It has with ours, especially on the weekends. Instead of playing Fortnite the video game this weekend, we crafted Fortnite. Allow me to introduce our DIY Fortnite Llama Unicorn Pumpkin to you. This genius idea belongs to our middle child, Mason. He thought up this idea all on his own.
Another fun perk about this DIY Fortnite Llama Unicorn Pumpkin is that it can be for either a girl or a boy.
Here’s the supplies you’ll need:
- pumpkin – use a faux one
- craft paper – purple, blue & hot pink
- turquoise paint (we decided not to use the white paint pictured)
- sponge paint brushes
- unicorn head band – disassembled (found in party section)
- ear head band – it was originally bunny ears – disassembled (found in the Halloween section)
- screwer sticks – to mount the ears & the horn
- googly eyes
- brown ribbon
- 2 gold rings for the halter
- scissors
- sharpie – for the nose
- hot glue gun & glue sticks
Apply 2 coats.
You’ll also need to paint the ears (unless you make the ears with cardstock)
Allow to dry overnite.
Same goes for the fringe around the lower part of the pumpkin (lower photo). Just smaller cuts and a little wider. I cut & glued 6 rows of trim on the bottom portion of the pumpkin.
For the “halter” we used the brown ribbon and hot glued the gold rings to the ribbon. It’s a little tricky, and it’s best if you have 2 people working together to glue and hold the ribbon.
Here’s what the “real” Fortnite Llama Unicorn looks like. I guess they can add the “unicorn” part in the skins or whatever. Can you tell I don’t know what I’m talking about??? LOL
