Rudolph Antler Cake Topper Printable

Hello, my friends and welcome to one of my favorite posts of the year. It’s the Christmas printable blog tour, and I’m excited to introduce you to my latest. Are you ready, ok here we go – meet my Rudolph Antler Cake Topper Printable.

I’ve been doing this Christmas printable tour ever since my friend Kristen from Ella Claire Inspired started it. I look forward to sharing a new printable every year. Quite honestly, I had a few ideas running through my head, but when I thought this cake idea through, I knew making this Rudolph cake would be such a fun “printable” idea that anyone could make!

You see, the cake is nothing fancy at all.  It’s just a typical round cake. In fact, I used a box cake mix to make it. (Inside it’s a yellow cake – because that’s what I had on hand.) However, I did make my own milk chocolate butter cream frosting. I wanted to be able to have just the right color of milk chocolate for Rudolph. Because most store bought frostings will be too dark, in my opinion.

Next, I gathered fresh greenery clippings from our yard & a faux pick of pine cones for Rudolph’s crown. I placed fresh rosemary around the edge & attached the Rudolph Antler Cake Topper Printable.  Use whatever you’d like.  He will look cute no matter how you decorate him!

Here are a few tips & suggestions for decorating the Rudolph’s cake & antlers:

*Use gloves (especially if you are going to use Gold card stock) – that way you won’t have any fingerprints on the “gold”
*I was able to use 1 12×12 gold foil scrapbook paper for both antlers.
*Use true paper scissors. The sharper the better.
*You may need to use an razor or a Exacto Knife
*A cutting board – if needed.
*red jingle bell – or you can also color some frosting with red food coloring.
*1/2 cup of dark melting chocolate for his eyelashes

Mine scissors need sharpening. So some of my gold edges around his points just needed a few swipes from a razor. Just to make it a cleaner – prettier cut.  I found that placing the printable on top of the gold paper and cutting it that way, worked best.  Of course you can always place the gold paper in your printer and print on top of the gold paper.  I was just worried that there would be printer creases or indentions on the gold foil paper and mark it up.  So that’s why I opted to cut with the white printable over the gold foil card stock.  Hope that makes sense to all of you.

Of course you can decorate or adorn his crown (the top of the cake) anyway you’d like. You may also use whatever color or pattern of paper you’d like for his antlers.  Because there’s so way you can mess it up!
