Ramen Maruchan Instant Lunch Pumpkin

If you knew my middle child, you would know he skips to his own beat. Well, don’t all kids do that? But this child of mine absolutely loves to think outside the box. He also loves to eat Ramen. I mean, he loves it! So…naturally he decided he wanted to make a Ramen Maruchan Instant Lunch Pumpkin for Halloween.

The student council for their Elementary school creates pumpkins every year for a charity coin drive. Last year we made this Fortnite Pumpkin, and this year it’s this one! He thought of all the tools we would need for this pumpkin, and he helped with every detail other than the vinyl lettering. I’m actually sad this tradition is coming to an end. My twins are now in 5th grade, so they’ll move on to middle school next year, sadly.

Here are the supplies you’ll need for this Ramen Maruchan Instant Lunch Pumpkin:

white (or painted white) crafting pumpkin – at Michael’s
Beige Yarn for the noodles
brown & orange vinyl
orange & green felt for peas & carrots
chop sticks
hot glue
scissors

I was able to download this image and turn into a cutting file on my Silhouette. To make it into a cutting file, I followed this tutorial , which turned out to be pretty simple to understand. Honestly, I had no idea the silhouette machine could even do that. It’s pretty awesome if you think about it. The only issue I had was it wouldn’t create the little holes for the “a” letter. But in a way, I kinda like the quirky look to the font.

I’m sure he would eat a huge bowl of this, if I let him. Ha! But I happen to love how it came out, and that he thought of this idea on his own!

The only thing we did differently was we used chocolate eyeballs to add to the cauldron. This was SO fun to create. Thanks Crystal for your inspiration!
