There’s nothing like bringing a fun dish to a party that everyone will love. Of course, you want it to be easy, but you want it to be delicious and worth your effort. What would make it even better is if it was truly a show stopper, right? Well, my dear friends I have just the thing for you! Create this Caprese Antipasto Wreath for your next party, and everyone will sing your praises.
We’re basically talking about 4 ingredients here and some fancy toothpicks.

- You could always use the fancy knot toothpicks like in the first picture or:
- Gold Pearl Fancy Cocktail Toothpicks
- Paddle Pick Toothpicks – these are the most inexpensive
- Ornate Handle Toothpicks
However, look at the wreath my friend made using regular toothpicks, and her Caprese Antipasto Wreath turned out just as cute and fancy.
There’s no denying that this red and green beauty of an edible wreath is perfect for the all your holiday parties and gatherings. It encompasses all the colors of this festive season. Plus, I think there’s something to be said about bringing a fresh veggie tray or in this case a wreath to a party. For example, your typical party food of choice is a dip or a heavy appetizer. This could even be classified as a Keto dish. We haven’t even gone there yet! haha. But with this Caprese Antipasto Wreath your offering “your people” choices, and giving them more food group choices. Above all, you could now be labeled as a conscientious friend, and there’s nothing wrong with that! 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need to make this Caprese Antipasto Wreath
Cherry Tomatoes – 2 packs
Fresh Basil* (see my comments about this below)
Fresh Mozzarella Balls – 2 packs
Balsamic Vinegar Reduction – you can obviously make your own, but who has time for that???
Toothpicks – see my list above
To assemble:
- Begin with a tomato on your toothpick
- Add some fresh basil (tuck & fold over)
- Add a mozzarella ball or two
- More basil
- Finish off with a tomato
- BOOM!
- Add your Balsamic Vinegar once you’re ready to serve or bring the bottle with you to your party and drizzle over it once you’ve arrived.
Fresh Basil can be hard to find in the Winter. Therefore, let’s talk about a few options you may have to find some fresh basil. Obviously check your produce sections and see what’s available. The other option is that you can usually find a basil plant ready to buy in the produce department of your local grocery store, and use the basil from that plant! Or you can always check your local nursery, for instance.
Lastly, make sure you’re wearing a cute outfit or party dress when you arrive with this Caprese Antipasto Wreath. Just remember I’m giving you the go-ahead to buy that sassy outfit you’ve been eyeing online. You’ll be the Belle of the Ball with this in hand when you arrive.
Special thanks to my friend Ashley for allowing me to use her idea for this recipe to share with all of you.
