Being that I’m in the 40+ club, as in years, I’ve seen many furniture styles come & go.
Heck, I learned to walk on green shag carpet while holding on to a red sofa that was rather shiny for balance.
That’s me on the far left with my sisters and cousins, in case you were wondering. I grew up in the 70’s. I guess you can tell. 😉
After the 70’s it seemed everything was brown with still a little bit of green thrown in for good measure. Think Brady Bunch!
Styles started to change but the colors were brown and brown again or green. Lower back sofas started to enter the market, let’s not forget the brown & green floral fabric as well. Great design in chairs, large lamps, and of course faux Ficus trees started entering homes as well.
Fast forward to now where there is a beautiful mix of furniture out on the market. Many people opt to mix vintage styles with new styles. Mixing & matching is one of my favorite parts to decorating, but truth be told the “all important decision” for your living room or family room is what style and color of sofa are you going to pick. Because you have to have the color and style picked out before you can start adding accessories to your room.
Since I had a few people asked me about the sectional sofa I picked out for our home, I thought it would be fun to share what else Jonathan Louis Furniture makes when it comes to sofa choices. Trust me when I say the below is just a peek at their many styles. So here’s some eye candy of Sofa Inspiration for your home.
One of the other perks about ordering from Macy’s is that you get to pick the color & fabric.
This is a screen shot of the Harper Sectional. You can see the color options, and of course you can pick the layout of the sofa. Because this sofa is a modular. So if you want to add a Chaise or a ottoman – you can!!!
Below is the beautiful Elliot Sectional. Look at all the beautiful color choices, and of course you can pick your layout as well.
There are so many options, and of course Macy’s carries the traditional sofa styles made my Jonathan Louis Furniture. You can find them in a classic Chesterfield style, tufted, apartment sofa layout and many other styles!
Below is the Roxanne modular sectional. I love it because it is a tufted sectional.
