Every year for Christmas, I’ve made something special for each of the kids’ rooms. ha! That sounds like I’ve been doing it for years, but I haven’t, really. Just the past 3 years. But I love doing it & am happy to make this an ongoing tradition. This Bunting Tree Wreath is what I made for my oldest. He has the magic of Christmas all over his face this year. He “gets it” all at the young age of 5. So it was fun to make this especially for him & his room.
I used my GO! Baby cutting machine made by Accuquilt.com & the Christmas tree (Sparkle Jumbo Tree) for my cutting die.
It honestly was a simple product that hardly took any time.
My supplies were:
a wreath form
fabric to wrap the wreath
various colors of felt
ric rac for trim
hot glue gun & glue
scissors

If you aren’t familiar with the GO! Baby cutting machine, I did a quick video tutorial on how to use it here. But basically you just run your die through the cutting machine with your various fabric pieces & presto – it’s cut perfectly everytime!
After I ran my fabric through the GO! Baby, I assembled my tree on a piece of felt with hot glue & trimmed it out with ric rac.
I cut my fabric in strips & wrapped my wreath in the red polka dot fabric & secured it with hot glue & then attached my Bunting Tree Wreath to the wrapped fabric form. And that was it!
I originally had it on his door, but he asked for it to be moved in his room. His room is like one big explosion of a crayon box, so the bright red & bunting tree matched perfectly.
Accuquilt.com has several dies you can use with the GO! Baby. You can check them all out here.
