I promise you’ll thank me later for this! This Valentine Confetti is so good & addicting!
Edited to add: This Valentine Confetti is an older post, that I published in 2011! Yes, I’ve been around that long. This recipe has gone viral with good reason! Because it is so delicious!
Here are a few things I would like to add:
*You may use any white chocolate melting chips you can find. I happened to have the white chocolate confetti chips on hand, and that’s what I used. But any white chocolate will do just fine.
*You will need to make this Valentine Confetti the “day of” – it will not keep or store. I have found through the years and for best results to make it the day of. Trust me it’s worth it! I have also found through the years that this makes the best “snow day” treat as well.
Here’s the steps in pictures:
melt & combine with your favorite microwave popcorn

This is absolutely adorable … and easy … which is the best combination in my book.
One little note: about a year ago, I choked on popcorn and my husband had to save me – I could not get a breath and it was very scary! Please watch little kiddos carefully when they are munching on popcorn!

I do something similar, but instead of stirring it, I just do a single layer of popcorn in a cake pan, drizzle it with chocolate, sprinkle with goodies, then do a second layer on top of that. Then I break it up later. See? I colored my white chocolate and added blueberry craisins and pretzels. http://www.flickr.com/photos/onama/5959714526/

HOw many bags of popcorn did this amount make? Just wondering if I need to double the recipe for my daughters class.
Erika says
This is good stuff! For those who asked, I doubled this recipe and I will have enough for 20 students (and my bags are not as stuffed as the picture here). And if you’re thinking of using red melts for creative freedom, I wouldn’t suggest it. Looks like bloody popcorn and you can’t see the m&ms as much 🙂

I’m doing this today for my 3y/o son’s valentine party in preschool. I made a ‘monster box’ from Pintrest (http://pinterest.com/pin/184858759674239279/) so I’m doing it with multicolored m’s to match, putting it in baggies, tying with monster ribbon and putting each kid’s name on a bag and calling it ‘monster munch’! THANKS SO MUCH for the FAB idea!

I am making this today for my 3 y/o son’s valentine party. I made ‘monster box’ that I also found on Pintrest so I am using multicolored m’s to go with it and bagging it tying with ribbon and calling it ‘monster munch’! My son is SO excited to take it to school! Thanks for the GREAT IDEA! 😀

I just found this yummy treat on Pinterest and visited your blog and I love it! It is so GOOD and both my kids and husband loved it! I had to make double batches as only one batch gave me 5 bags filled about the same as in the pic! So two batches give you about 10 bags! These are my teachers’ treats from the kids for Valentine’s Day! Thanks so much for sharing!
