My little crew & I headed out for a little nature appreciation. Again, a perfect Fall day. The sun was in & out, warm but crisp with long shadows. Graham has started word/letter association in his preschool (3 days a week.) The letter L is this week & next…so off to find some “L’s” we went. L-eaves to be exact.
We found many “L’s” for L-eaves & some grass, bugs, sticks, acorns, & dirt. I love how Mason & Madison tackled the assignment as well. It is amazing how they respond by watching Graham do something, then they follow right along. I shake my head in amazement of these 3. They are truly a sight. After we gathered our leaves & acorns…we made our Leaf Garland & hung it proudly for display. I just hope the leaves wont dry out before we take it to school. The simplicity & beauty of it made me stare at it all night.
I heard the next letter will be “A”. (They are not going in order…they are doing it in stick form writing first, then moving on to curve shape letters later.) Personally, I think it’s a genius approach. I just hope I have enough time to assemble the next word association project with these itty bitty acorns before that letter is over. Otherwise, we may just take an apple to school!
Does anyone have an all time favorite apple recipe they like to share??? Lots of apples are here, from the in-laws’ trees. I’m open to any recipe sharing you may have!
