The weekend’s weather couldn’t have been better. In fact, we were scrambling trying to find warmer clothes for the kids to wear for the morning parade on the 4th. A very cool 64* at 10am. It was unbelievable. The 4th of July = chilly & foggy. Chief & I kindof have a thing for ‘foggy mornings’. So we truly enjoyed the kick-off to what would be a great day!
With coffee in hand & a cardigan sweater ( got lucky to find one in the truck) I watched the parade. Well, I watched my kids watch the parade. The entire time it was going on…I was thinking 2 things:
1. Such a great “small town Americana type” day. Please let there be more for my kids to remember. Such a great feeling of pride.
2. Please Graham, do not run out in the road & get hit by who knows what. That boy, just wanted to be part of it ALL. Loved it.
This is my favorite photo of the weekend. I got the idea from my new favorite blog. I hope she doesn’t mind…I stole part of an idea from her. I think it turned out great.
We really had a great time. Enjoyed every minute of it. We miss you Tic Toc, Papaw, & Sis! We love you so much!
THANK YOU!
